There’s something particularly wonderful about looking through someone else’s travel journal when you were actually on the trip with them.
My friend Felecia and I spent 16 days traveling through Vietnam together, and she is easily one of the most creative people I know. I adore her travel journals—not only because they’re beautiful and clever and unmistakably hers, but because I get to see our shared adventures through an entirely different set of eyes.
As I thumbed through her Vietnam journal, I found myself remembering where we were when she collected certain bits and pieces, the experiences behind different pages, and all the little moments that somehow come rushing back when you see them documented again.
That’s part of the magic of travel journaling.
We can stand in the same place, eat the same meal, experience the same ridiculous moment, and come home and make completely different pages about it. What catches Felecia’s attention isn’t necessarily what catches mine—and I LOVE that.
So today, instead of turning through one of my own journals, I’m inviting you to come peek inside hers.
I hope you find an idea (or five!) that inspires something in your own pages.
And Felecia, thank you for letting all of us snoop through your journal. ❤️
