It's not common that I make super-huge journals like this one, however when I do, I go big in design as well!
Titled "Intrinsic" because the metal etching design is something that comes from entirely within. When someone asks me, "How did you do that," I tell them the etching technique and the science behind the art, but when I try to answer the question in terms of inspiration, I can only trace this back to the moment when the idea "came to me".
It's like what Elizabeth Gilbert said in her famous Ted Talk about Muses and such. It feels like this idea either came from within the depth of my soul - OR - that it must've come from some magical, mysterious, external force.
Because I've never seen anything like this before.
So I continue etching this "Alien Language", as I call it, and I am always so proud to accomplish it. Such a pure form of artistic expression.
