Pages alternate between 6 different types of paper. The 4 handmade papers include cream jute, brown jute, moss jute, fern impression with asparagus fibers, and there are two types of watercolor paper: cold press and hot press.
"Oak & Ember" is inspired by the steady strength of oak trees and the warm glow of a fire burning in the fall night air. Shane and I have been enjoying sitting out on our back deck before the cold of winter really sets in, and our surrounding trees are still hanging on to a few leaves. I love those stubborn leaves! They will fall, for sure, but they're still enduring the night and day...and the threat of further dehydration by the heat of our fire!
